The course was an interesting design but not in the best condition. Greens were slower than we would have expected and the grass on both the tees and fairways was too long.

The North course at El Rompido is a good test of golf with a mixture of some strategy holes interspersed with some that are more open. The greens for January were exceptionally fast with some borderline unplayable that were exposed to gusts of wind. It is a course that requires precision rather than brute force. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone seeking to have a round of golf in this area as it is well maintained and starter on hand to ensure groups are getting away on time. Please be aware though that if you go for an after round drink in the clubhouse the price for a large beer (less than a pint) is €7, which I think is exorbitant.
